During the initial startup, Unitecast will install two support packages (MP4 support and a .NET support library). Please permit these packages to be installed as they are core components of Unitecast. The process of installing these packages may take a minute or two.
Unitecast requires administrator privileges on Windows 8-10. To enable administrator mode, right-click on the Unitecast shortcut or the Unitecast.exe file, select Properties|Compatibility, then select Run as administrator.
Experiencing Issues Running Unitecast?
Blank Video Recordings?
If your video camera preview does not appear in Unitecast, or the recording does not contain the video signal, change the Video Renderer Mode in the Preferences: Video/Audio panel. Start with VMR9 and work down to the least optimized mode (Direct2D). There are also additional Mixed Render modes that may work better with your particular system.
Flipped Video Preview?
You may find it necessary to switch the Video Resolution settings (RGB mode is generally best) and possibly flip the video preview. This can be accomplished in some camera control panels or by selecting Flip Video in Preferences|Video/Audio.
No Video is Recorded?
If video files are not being generated at all you may need to run Unitecast in Administrator mode. Right click on the Unitecast shortcut and select Properties|Compatibility|Run this program as an administrator.
