Unitecast is pleased to announce the immediate release of Unitecast 5.2. Unitecast is Free for personal use.
New features include:
The ability to record/stream a combined session and simultaneously record a full "standalone" video.
Independent media data rates for live and recorded sessions.
Improved support for Black Magic Design devices.
Support for switched full video or pip video playback modes during streaming/recording.
CUDA support for Split Mode recordings.
Support for audio capture from BlackMagic USB Shuttle and Intensity/Pro Cards.
Significantly faster start/stop times for record/webcast sessions.
Numerous optimizations and feature enhancements.
Improved closed captioning support.
Larger video window.
i5 (2.0GHz+) or i7 based CPU. An i7 CPU is recommended for Split Mode sessions.
Windows 7, 8+ or 10 (32-bit/64-bit).
Microsoft Office 2003 or later is required for PowerPoint capturing.
A web camera or other video capture device. Premium webcams are recommended.
A microphone, sound card or other audio capture device that is multi-client and WDM compatible.
A high bandwidth Internet connection (1 mbps + upload speed is recommended).
An RTMP based streaming media server (e.g., NGINX, Wowza) or Content Delivery Network is required for live streaming. Unitecast supports Twitch and YouTube live streaming.
During the initial startup, Unitecast will install two support packages (MP4 support and a .NET support library). Please permit these packages to be installed as they are core components of Unitecast. The process of installing these packages may take a minute or two.
Unitecast requires administrator privileges on Windows 8-10. To enable administrator mode, right-click on the Unitecast shortcut or the Unitecast.exe file, select Properties|Compatability, then select Run as administrator.
